There are many reasons why drum solos are a favorite part of Belly Dancing for me.

What good is it to put in all the hours of practice that we put in if we can't have a special time for ourselves for unconstrained, purely emotional, spontaneous dancing fun and when it is done well it is really kind of a rush. A natural high.

This 58 minute DVD is a behind the scenes look at how Issa and I as a drummer/dancer team approach our roles during a drum solo.
